BACK~!

So, this place was completely abandoned at the beginning of last summer due to work and whatnot. Its abandonment might also have been influenced by the fact that the economy going to the shits and shopping isn't technically on my list of priorities (although laundry is. I should really get started on that). And since I have a written journal, it's a bit more convenient, if not as efficient, as this blog. However, I believe that I will begin using this place as more of a personal journal than a fashion blog as it was originally intended to be. I finally found my camera USB cord (yay~) and am now equipped to upload pictures (double yay~)!

On that note, I might revamp the Anteateries blog I've created at the beginning of this year. I've probably let that wait long enough without an update, although I haven't been eating out much, which would hinder any new entries.

Anyways.

To begin, I am currently working on my application and resume for the UTeach program here at UCI. Who knew that the technicalities of the application would be so difficult? Oi. I'm currently looking through my answers and editing them. Working too long on some of these seems to have made parts of it incoherent. Blah.

Other major news? Let's see... I've downloaded Skype to be able to speak with my sisters without the fear of my room's bad reception dropping the call midway through. It's a pretty cool program that allows me to call my sisters through their computers, their cell phones, or even landlines (although I believe the last two options cost money). In either case, we've been "Skyping" it up the couple weeks. It's pretty fun, as now I don't have to leave the comfort of my room when I need to study, but still have ambient noise to keep my mind focused.

The Conversation Club FINALLY emailed me with a new conversation partner after one quarter of inactivity. After my Korean exchange partner Fall quarter, I realized that having a French partner would probably make my life a bit easier, as I wouldn't have too much trouble explaining the nuances of the English language to them. Apparently, French speakers are hard to come by, or so they've told me. My new partner's name is Asma/Esma (?). While the club sent me her name as "Asma," her email suggests otherwise. Anyways, she's about 24 years old, from Tunisia, and has amazingly fluent English. My French has almost fallen into complete disrepair, and my accent is terrible, which makes me a bit embarrassed to speak with her in it. But she's very encouraging, and very friendly, so I'm hoping to be able to hang out with her the remainder of this quarter (or until she decides to switch programs). We're going to do...something... on Tuesday (which hopefully won't require the expenditure of too much money, as both of us have expressed our lack of such a commodity).

Outside of school.... I've been really into this MMORPG recently. It's called 'Perfect World,' and the community is growing HUGE. I think they really need to expand that map (which I am going to assume they're doing with the expansion pack; at least, I hope so). It's funny to see how people (namely strangers) interact with each other through virtual communities. I appear to have a tendency to fall into silence if there's nothing to say (versus my periodic incomprehensible gibberish in reality, hahah). It's pretty fun, and I play with Deanna every now and then, although as APs are coming up, she's been taking time to study for them.

Which reminds me that I have a quiz to finish this weekend.

I should really start working on my Archaeology quiz, as this was a total deviant from my tasks. BAHcryoffrustration. I'll leave this video here for my own pleasure. Feel free to listen if you'd like (although I'm not particularly sure who my audience is at this point anymore. Oh wells). Au revoir tous mes amis~.
